Project Description:
Installation of fiber-optic and electrical wiring via directional drill method at the North Carolina (NC) State football stadium and various locations in Northern VA. Total project footage was over 12,000 feet. This system allows AT&T to provide real-time Wi-Fi access to its customers.

Project Description:
PEI designed a fiber backbone network and implemented over 500 CCTV cameras in its downtown area as well as other high crime areas. PEI performed surveys, fiber design and construction, implementation and ongoing maintenance. Technology assisted law enforcement agencies with investigations.

Project Description:
The ITS system selected by Baltimore to coordinate Right of Way (ROW) activities was implemented over a two year period. It provides real-time information on infrastructure projects across the City via a web-based system accessible to all of the stakeholder groups. Each project is mapped via GIS data points. A clickable map provides key details such as location, timeline, scope, schedule, cost, and points of contact for each project. PEI performed installation, fiber construction connecting 25 nodes and integration of the system.

  • Because the system enables coordination of roadway pavement cuts, it reduces the number of cuts necessary and therefore allows for smoother pavement and longer pavement life. Efficient coordination allows limited budgets to go further providing cost savings. Over the first year the system was used, the City of Baltimore reported a cost savings of between $350,000 and $500,000 in paving costs.
